A beautiful carnelian pendant from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! This wonderful hand-carved piece is of Chinese origin. The carnelian forms an oval shape and displays a spectacular orangey-red color. The smooth design has an ornate gold circular detail which has an open wirework design featuring Chinese characters. At the top of the pendant is a simple yellow gold bail, allowing it to be hung and worn from your favorite chain. A lovely and artistic handmade piece, it would make a striking addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 1/8″ long, measures 1/2″ wide, and is 1/8″ thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carnelian or to the gold bail, which is secure and intact.
