Italian jewelry designer Aldo Cipullo apprenticed at his father’s jewelry factory in Florence before moving to New York in 1959. He began his career working for both Tiffany & Co. and David Webb, but soon transitioned to work as a designer for Cartier, where he left his mark on jewelry history forever. While at Cartier, Cipullo designed the iconic Love Bracelet, the Nail Collection, and the “Hamsa Hand” or “Hand of the Heart” pendant. He left Cartier in 1974 to work as a freelance designer, winning multiple awards and continuing to expand his prestige. Though he died suddenly in 1984, his legacy continues today, and his iconic designs are still ever popular and fashionable in the modern era.
