An attractive and very unique brooch clip from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This wonderful and unusual piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a classic Art Deco design The clip has a shield-like cutout shape with an oval shaped coral plaque held in the center. The coral has a vibrant color and is hand carved to depict a delicate cluster of flowers. Directly above and below the coral are 5 sparkling bead set diamonds, which accent the piece perfectly. The back reveals a secure clip with 3 gold teeth, which help to secure it to a collar, neckline or jacket. The clip also looks beautiful and modern clipped to a simple gold chain. The back of the brooch clip is stamped “585” along with a makers mark. It’s a fabulous piece and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The clip measures 1 1/8″ tall, 7/8″ wide and slightly more than 1/4″ thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the clip is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to gold setting or to the coral and all of the diamonds are intact. The clip clamps securely and is in good working condition.
