A beautiful pair of earrings from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This pair has a bold yet simple design, comprised of cut plaques of polished banded agate with a matte back. Each smoothly polished plaque is trapezoidal, displaying fabulous shades of light orange and pink with white and brown-toned banding throughout and a rich, translucent quality that can be seen in the light. Each earring dangles from a yellow gold-filled link with a sleek and elegant ear wire at the top, allowing them to frame the face beautifully. A wonderful and unusual design that would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring dangles approximately 2 1/4″ long (including the wire at the top), measures about just over 3/4″ wide, and is about 1/8″ thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the agate stones. The gold-filled setting and accents are intact and securely set and in good working condition.
