A gorgeous figural ring with from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the ring features a wonderful female motif that comes alive with raised repousse detail. Gracing the rectangular centerpiece is the profile of a smiling woman, who wears a headband atop her long, flowing hair. A delicate Mine Cut diamond is set within the waves of hair, sparkling softly as it catches the light. Three garnet cabochons line each shoulder of the band, displaying a deep red color that stands out against the vibrant gold background. A row of circular plaques form the back of the band, with delicate cutout spaces in between. Stamped on the back of the centerpiece is a “14” gold purity mark. A wonderful example of the Art Nouveau aesthetic, this gorgeous ring would make a unique addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, but could possibly be resized slightly. The centerpiece measures approximately 1/2” tall, 3/8” wide, and rests a little more than 1/8” above the finger when worn. The band measures 4mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, raised repose detail, or to the diamond and garnet stones, all of which are secure and intact.
