A fabulous hand wrought sterling silver and amethyst cluster ring from the early Retro era (ca1930s)! There are 7 amethyst stones that form a cluster at the center, surrounded by delicate beadwork accents. Each amethyst stone is individually bezel set, and is beautifully faceted, displaying a wonderful natural purple shade. A wirework rope pattern forms swirls at each shoulder, and a stacked band completes the design. When worn, the ring makes an exceptional statement piece, and is perfect for the amethyst lover!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7, but could easily be re-sized if needed. The amethyst cluster measures 1 1/4″ tall, 1 1/8″ wide, and rests about 1/2″ above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and all of the amethyst stones are intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratches. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of vintage and antique jewelry, and adds depth to the design.
