Crafted in 18k gold, the clock belly has a white face with gold dashes in place of numbers and at the top center of the watch face is the maker name “IWC” and “International Watch Co. Schaffhausen”. The watch band is a wonderfully worn lizard-embossed leather. This Portofino watch is shockproof, antimagnetic and water resistant. Protected by a spherical domed sapphire glass with a hardness coefficient 9. The heart of the watch is a mechanical automatic movement with 21 rubies, a temperature compensated hairspring that is adjusted in five separate positions, and a Nivaflex mainspring. The band’s clasp is marked on the underside with “INOX + “, while the band is marked “Genuine Lizard” and “206”. The watch comes with the original box and papers. Measurement: The watch face measures approximately 1 1/4″ tall, and 1 1/4″ wide. The entire length of the watch measures around 8 1/2″.
Condition: The overall condition of the watch is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold. The watch does not work in its current state. The piece could be taken to a horologist to have the movement addressed for an additional cost.
