In French, fleur-de-lys means “lily flower.” Decorative ornaments that resemble the fleur-de-lys have appeared in artwork from the earliest human civilizations. It has consistently been used as a royal emblem, though different cultures have interpreted its meaning in various ways.
Guilloché (in English usually “Guilloche”) is an engraving technique in in which a very precise, intricate pattern is mechanically etched into an underlying material with very fine detail. Most commonly, the Guilloche surface was then enameled and the repetitive, intricate design would show through the colorful enamel.
A beautiful fleur-de-lys Guilloché pendant from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold, and carries a delicate and feminine design. The fleur-de-lys shape has been topped with rich, royal blue enameling above an engraved Guilloché background. The back of the piece reveals a “14K” gold purity mark stamped near the base. Attached to the top is a simple gold ring bail, perfect for hanging the pendant from a favorite chain. This symbolic antique piece merges seamlessly into modern day fashion, and would make a lovely everyday accessory!
Measurements: The pendant hangs just over 1 1/4″ long, including the ring bail. The fleur-de-lys itself measures 1 1/8″ tall, 3/4″ wide, and about 1/16″ thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The blue enamel has faded slightly in some portions of the design, but there are no significant chips or scratches. The gold ring bail at the top is securely attached and soldered shut.

Our policy is valid for 30 days. If you haven't received your item within the 30 days period, we're not able to issue the option of a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same state as you received it. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
