A stunning necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this necklace is comprised of twelve feminine foliate links. The foliate links are each encrusted with 17 bead-set Rose Cut diamonds upon their leaves, gently sparkling as they catch the light. A vein detail is visible on the underside of the softly swaying leaves, highlighting the necklace’s beautiful craftsmanship. Eleven larger bezel-set Rose Cut diamonds connect each of the links, creating an elegant appeal. The necklace secures with a gorgeous push clasp set with two Square Cut rubies, two Single Cut diamonds, and two Square Cut Emerald gemstones. This necklace would be an incredible addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 15 1/2″ in length. Each foliate link measures nearly 1″ long, 7/32″ at its widest point, and slightly more than 1/16″ deep.
Condition: The necklace is in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting. There is a natural patina on the sterling silver, typical of antique pieces. All of the diamonds and rubies are intact and securely set. One of the emeralds is chipped, but the stone is securely set and this does not negatively impact the beauty or integrity of the piece. The push clasp is secure and in good working condition.
