A breathtaking pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold, these earrings begin with a simple earring wire atop a round surmount. Each 3-dimensional shaped piece displays a smoothly polished surface with wonderful Etruscan details. Adorning the front surface of each urn are delicate beads and lovely swirled wirework, with blue enamel painted between. Grecian-style handles rest at either side, adding a wonderful eye-catching accent. Thanks to their hollow design, the earrings are lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/8″ long, including the wire at the top, and measures about 3/4″ wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The earring wires are secure and in good working order. The surface of the gold has a slight natural patina, which is normal for Victorian jewelry adds to the richness of of the appearance.
